ABOUT THIS ROLE
This is a coordination and project management role — not just a technical or coding role. The candidate must understands business processes, communicates clearly, and should be able to coordinate at all levels to get things done. The ERP implementation will be led by the Implementation Partner and this candidate will be at the centre of that process — bridging the gap between the Implementation Partner and the organisation’s internal teams.
You will be on the client’s payroll and will serve as the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) between the Client and the Implementation Partner. During the implementation phase, you will learn the system alongside the Implementation Partner’s team. Once the system is live, you will take full ownership of ERP and all related systems within the organisation.
This is a full-time, on-site role based at the client’s Manufacturing Plant in Alipor, NH-48, Chikhli, Gujarat. You are expected to be physically present at the plant on all working days. The role requires active movement across departments and production areas — engaging with teams at the shop floor level and not limited to desk-based work.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
During Implementation
- Serve as the primary point of contact between the organisation and the Implementation Partner for all queries, decisions, and escalations
- Understand current business processes across departments (manufacturing, quality, logistics, purchase, sales, accounts, inventory, HR, etc.) and help map them accurately into the ERP system
- Coordinate with department heads and team members to gather requirements, clarify workflows, and provide timely inputs to the client’s Senior Management and Implementation Partner
- Participate in ERP demos, training sessions, testing rounds, and review meetings — and ensure the right internal stakeholders are present and engaged
- Track open issues, pending decisions, and action items — follow up with internal teams to ensure project progress is not held up
- Coordinate UAT (User Acceptance Testing) — test the configured system, report issues clearly, and confirm that resolutions are working correctly
- Coordinate data preparation activities including master data (items, customers, suppliers, chart of accounts) and ensure accuracy before migration
- Maintain a log of all configurations, decisions, and changes made during the project
After Go-Live
- Be the first point of contact for all ERP-related queries and issues raised by internal users
- Resolve day-to-day user queries and coordinate technical issues to the Implementation Partner when required
- Train new users, prepare simple SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures), and ensure correct and consistent usage across the organisation
- Monitor system usage and flag deviations from defined processes
- Coordinate future changes, new configurations, or enhancements with the Implementation Partner
- Take overall responsibility for the smooth functioning of ERP and all connected systems
COMPETENCIES REQUIRED
Functional & Analytical
- Ability to understand how business functions integrate with each other and its impact on system-driven operations.
- Identifying gaps between current practice and system capability
- Logical, structured thinking — ability to simplify problems and communicate them clearly
Coordination & Communication
- Comfortable working across multiple teams simultaneously and following up assertively
- Clear verbal and written communication in English, Hindi, and Gujarati
- Ability to listen carefully, ask the right questions, and document information accurately
Change Management
- Helping teams understand and adapt to a new system
- Addressing resistance by demonstrating the value of change
- Driving adoption and correct system usage across all departments
Ownership & Accountability
- Takes responsibility and follows through — does not leave issues unresolved
- Manages multiple priorities during the fast-paced implementation phase
- Proactively flags risks and escalates decisions rather than waiting to be asked
ATTITUDE TOWARDS SYSTEMS & TECHNOLOGY
The candidate must have a genuine inclination towards working with ERP systems, not as a compulsion, but as a natural liking and personal interest. Candidate should proactively seek ways to deploy technology to its fullest potential: eliminating manual effort, reducing dependence on individuals, strengthening process reliability, and building a measurable competitive advantage for the organisation.QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE
